Sunrise illuminates the "3 Sisters" in Canmore, Alberta Canada. The 3 Sisters are a group of peaks that are situated directly behind the city of Canmore. You can't help but see them no matter where you are in the city. These peaks where first called the 3 Nuns in 1883 after a winter storm left the peaks covered in snow and resembling 3 nuns in white veils. The name was later changed in 1886 to the 3 Sisters, they were renamed by George Dawson, a Canadian geologist, and surveyor, to the Three Sisters The names of the Three Sisters are individually known as Big Sister, Middle Sister, and Little Sister
An overcast sunset at Scripps Pier in La Jolla. At this time of year the pier is light up at the end of the day leading to a Christmas Tree of lights. This was also during a negative tide so I was able to walk out quite a bit towards the end of the pier and I think that also led to the interesting ripples in the sand.
